We encourage recommenders to save a copy of their written letter prior to submitting the online recommendation form (e.g., as a Word or PDF file), to ensure you have a copy for your records and for use if you are later asked to submit other recommendations for the student.
Recommenders can also save a copy of the complete recommendation, including the online form and the letter. There are two ways to save this copy:
- Prior to submitting the recommendation form, click the "Preview" button at the bottom of the form and then use the printer icon at the top left to access and download a PDF copy of your recommendation.
- Upon submission of the recommendation form, click the "Display Copy" button on the confirmation page and then the printer icon at the top left to access and download a PDF copy of your recommendation. You can also use the original recommendation link you received by email to access this same confirmation page again. Note: The recommendation link for academic and character recommenders expires 24 hours after the form has been submitted (links for School Reports do not expire).
