What can I do to make sure I get a good recommendation?

QuestBridge -

You should choose a teacher who knows you well and taught you in a core academic subject (math, science, history/social studies, English, or foreign language), preferably during your sophomore or junior year. Be sure to give your recommender plenty of time to complete his or her recommendation. We recommend that you give your recommender at least two weeks, but three weeks or more is even better.

You should also provide your recommender with information about you such as your transcript and a resume/activities list, if you have one.

See the Recommendations section of our Student Resource Center for more information and additional tips for recommendations.
