Your reference should be somebody outside your home. For example, if you have taken any classes at local high schools or community colleges, one of those instructors could be your reference. If you do not have an instructor outside your home who can serve as a reference for you, you might consider asking someone else. For example, if you have done any supervised volunteer work or participated in any religious groups, you might ask someone who has supervised your work or led that organization to be a reference.
