Test scores are not required to apply to the National College Match. Students who do not have standardized test scores can still be selected as Finalists if the rest of their application is strong; however, students should ensure they meet the standardized testing requirements for each college partner they're interested in.
We do encourage students to submit any available test scores. All of our college partners, as well as QuestBridge Staff, read your entire application and base their admissions decisions on your application as a whole, not only your SAT or ACT scores. Your application reader will look at other portions of the application to determine if you would be able to handle the academic rigor of a top-tier college, including your teacher and counselor recommendations, your transcript, and your essays. If you aren't satisfied with your scores, you can demonstrate your thinking and writing skills by devoting extra effort to your essays.
If you are selected as a Finalist, in order to be considered for admission and a Match Scholarship through the Match, you need to submit any standardized test scores required by the QuestBridge college partners you are interested in attending. For information on the tests each college partner requires, please see our National College Match: Test Requirements page.
