What is the advantage of applying to QuestBridge instead of ED/EA?

QuestBridge -

Applying to the QuestBridge National College Match allows you to apply early to up to 12 of your top choice colleges, while Early Decision, and in some cases Early Action, restricts you to only one school. You are notified early through the College Match, as you are with ED/EA, but admission through the College Match also comes with the College Match Scholarship, a full four-year financial aid package covering the cost of attendance, with no loans or parent contribution. As a Finalist, your application fees to our college partners are also waived if you apply through QuestBridge. If admitted to a QuestBridge school, you would join the QuestBridge Scholars Network, which is a national network of QuestBridge Scholars at our college partners.

If you are not offered a College Match Scholarship through the College Match, you can still apply to our college partners for free through QuestBridge Regular Decision. In addition, some schools you rank may allow you to apply early in December if you do not match. See the following FAQ for more information: If I am a Finalist and do not match with a college on my ranking list, can I still have my QuestBridge application reviewed by a college for Early Action or Early Decision?
