Any high school senior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. is eligible for the National College Match. Students attending high school in the U.S. as undocumented, asylees, refugees, or as international students are eligible to apply. Additionally, U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents living abroad are eligible for the program.
International students living outside the U.S. are not eligible.
Please note that not all of our college partners will consider non-U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents for admission and full scholarships through the Match. Most of our college partners use federal and state funds to finance a portion of the scholarships, and these funds are only available for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. For the most up-to-date information about which college partners will consider non-U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents, please see the Additional Citizenship Requirements.
The schools that are not listed on the above page may still consider students who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents on a case-by-case basis. If there is a school you are very interested in, you may still include them in your rankings list even if they are not listed as considering these students.
Most of our partners will consider all students who apply through QuestBridge Regular Decision, regardless of citizenship status. Each year, many QuestBridge applicants who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents gain acceptance and financial aid to our partner colleges via Regular Decision.
International students living outside the U.S. are not eligible to apply to the National College Match. Students always have the option of applying directly to any QuestBridge college partner through their regular admissions process.
