What makes a "successful" QuestBridge applicant?

QuestBridge -

Qualities shared among successful applicants can include, but are not limited to: being in the top 5-10% of their class, taking their high school’s most rigorous courses, having above-average standardized test scores, being among the first-generation in their family to attend college, being eligible for free or reduced-price lunch, having a household income of less than $65,000 for a typical family of four, leadership roles at school and in the community, and more. In my opinion, the successful QuestBridge applicant not only has the grades and test scores necessary for admission to any of the partner colleges, but they are also unique individuals. From a school perspective, they are leaders, be it in a club or student government environment or on the field as a member of a school team. More than that, however, they are an accumulation of all the trials and tribulations they have endured to this point in their lives. They are outstanding individuals.
